With members from the Netherlands, Spain, Venezuela, Italy, Colombia and Germany, Los Melos is a colorful mix of nationalities, but they sound as Colombian as Grupo Niche, Grupo Gale and Curao y Salsa. Expect a band that delivers musical virtuosity, impressive vocals and a high danceability factor.
Pianist Thomas Böttcher's tight arrangements always serve the singer fully, and put the trombone in the spotlight in a unique way. As a dancer, it's almost impossible to stay still with this lineup.
Bandleader and conguero Nique Quentin released the album A Los Melómanos: a true melting pot of cultures, influences and stories from around the world, just like salsa itself. It reached the Colombian charts and earned praise from salsa legend Rubén Blades himself.
